Options for Version 3

Groupmax Version 3 provides Server and Client Options, as well as, Application Sets. Install the options you need. For the price of each product, consult your Hitachi dealer.

Object management

Groupmax High-end Object Server Version 3

Provides the following special features to implement higher performance and reliability than those provided in any other Server Set.

• Using backup and journal files helps restore data to the state it was in immediately before an error occurred.
• To enable faster processing, data can be updated in batches in large business systems.

E-mail

Groupmax Mail - X.400 Version 3

- Sends e-mail between Groupmax domains by using the X.400 protocol.

Groupmax Mail - Administrator Utilities Version 3

- Collects statistical information, such as the amount of mail sent, referenced, and received by each user.

Groupmax Address Server - Replication Option Version 3

- Reduces the overload on the system management server when distributing address information, and lowers the cost of communications.

Groupmax Server - Scan Version 3

- Checks whether or not the attached files in the mail or bulletin board are infected by viruses, by running with the engine for detecting a virus.

Workflow

Groupmax Workflow Multi-Server Version 3

- Controls flows among servers in a multiple server environment.

- Controls flows among business processes in a single server environment.

Groupmax High-end Workflow Server Version 3

- Licensed for additional accesses to multiple workflow databases when you want to improve response time and throughput in a business system that processes many work-items.

- Lets you access two or more (up to 32) databases simultaneously for each additional license.

Groupmax Workflow Version 3 for Exchange

- Notifies the mail box in Exchange Server when new mail is delivered to the user tray in a workflow.

Provides the following features for the experts who design, manage, and run workflows:

- Definer visually defines the workflow of jobs and workers.

- Analyzer supports the analyzing of various kinds of work based on the system log of the workflow that the Workflow system collects.

Groupmax Workflow - End-user Tools Version 3 for WWW

- Viewer helps the administrator run applications in the office and browse form-defined business processes to check on the progress of the work-items.

Groupmax Workflow Version 3 for Lotus Notes

Fax linkage

Groupmax Fax - Gateway Version 3

- Connects the e-mail server and fax machines. Faxes can be sent as e-mail and e-mail as faxes.

Voice mail

Groupmax Voice Mail - Gateway Version 2.0^*1

- Sends and plays voice mail messages over the telephone.

HITFILE linkage

Groupmax Mail - HITFILE Gateway Version 2.0^*1, and exchanges image data on PCs.

Directory management

Groupmax Directory Server Version 3

- Accesses address information between Groupmax systems by using the de facto standard LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol).

You can send mail from your Groupmax system by searching or browsing addresses in other Groupmax systems.

System integration management

Groupmax System Agent - Extension Version 3

- Extends the following features for the Integrated groupware system included in Groupmax Sets for a server:

• Collects operation information.
• Notifies you when a database is reconfigured.
• Collects error information in batches.
• Starts, stops, monitors, or displays the status of each component.
• Specifies parameters when the system starts or stops.
• Manages network and Groupmax servers by linking with Hitachi NETM*Cm2.

Groupmax System Agent - TCP/IP Version 3

Groupmax Document Manager - Development Kit Version 3

- Use C to create user applications that operate on the document server.

Groupmax Agent - Development Kit Version 3

- Provides the library and header for C or C++ to create a server agent. Also provides sample coding for the Java class library to use with Java.

Groupmax Workflow Version 3 for Active Server Pages

- Provides an interface for creating Workflow Web applications by using Microsoft Visual InterDev.

Groupmax Workflow Server - Library Extension Version 3

- Provides an application interface for configuring the business applications of a workflow.

- Provides templates for server agents operating on a server such as agents for monitoring the date when a work-item in a Workflow expires, incoming monitoring, returning/transferring e-mail, and deleting documents.

- Optional feature for displaying HITFILE documents stored through Millemasse/D, by using your Web browser. (Millemasse/D InterGate2 must be purchased separately.)

- Uses e-mail to help collect and accumulate opinions, and to report the results.

- Links to Groupmax Mail to easily send or receive voice mail messages.

HITFILE linkage

- Searches and displays data registered in HITFILE, sends e-mail to other PCs and exchanges image data on the PC.

- Defines visually the flow of work and the workers in a Workflow.

Groupmax Workflow Monitor Version 3

- Monitors the operation status in a business process and, if necessary, provides an operation monitor to operate the work and work-items. (A business process is a procedure in which instructions are passed among workers.)

Groupmax Workflow Simulator Version 3

- Simulates the execution and analyzes the performance of the business process that was defined visually.

Groupmax Form Client - Design Version 3

- Develops electronic forms used in e-mail or in a workflow.

Groupmax Form Client - Tools Version 3

- Installs features for checking entries on electronic forms and for editing the display and storage formats. This program is used to develop forms.

Groupmax Form Client - Tools Runtime Version 3

- Runs features installed by Groupmax Form Client Tools.

Groupmax Form Client - ODBC Version 3

- Provides a feature utilizing the distributed database on the ODBC interface in developing and designing electronic forms.

Groupmax Form Client Version 3 for Lotus Notes

- Accesses a Lotus Notes database. (Not necessary for developing electronic forms that use a Notes database.)

Groupmax Form Version 3 for World Wide Web

- Creates a JAVA applet-based form, which was originally created in Groupmax Form Client - Design, and lets you access the electronic form from your Web browser.

Groupmax Directory Client Version 3

- Uses the LDAP protocol to browse or search the address information of other domains in a hierarchical order. This function can be used in the Personal Address Editor of Groupmax Mail system.
