Users' demands for groupware are changing
The diffusion of network systems has brought on an era of mega-competition,
enabling more regional, national and global business. New demands are arising for groupware-based Japanese-style BPR (Business Process Reengineering)
are arising.
Users are demanding:
- Expanding from sharing information to reorganizing the work process
Users require effective Business Process Reengineering (BPR) that uses workflows as well as electronic mail and bulletin boards.
- Providing secure service and establishing data communication among companies
System environments are changing rapidly into: client server systems plus intranets, or intranets only, etc. Users want secure service in an environment that includes a variety of hardware and software.
Also, users want to establish data communication among companies as a means of realizing a wide range of service that transcends company border.
- Minimizing costs and quickly constructing and using the system
Users want to minimize the cost of installing a system and to simplify
the construction and use of the environment.
The following pages illustrate these concepts behind the development of Groupmax Version 3, and illustrate how Groupmax satisfies these demands.
