With Electronic Address, you can search and reference addresses when you use a Groupmax facility such as Electronic Mail.
The addresses are displayed in a hierarchy corresponding to the structure of your organization, so you can efficiently and effectively handle large amounts of business or user data.
The address book used with Electronic Address
Electronic Address, designed for Japanese organizations, enables you to browse information such as the mail addresses and occupations of the employees in your organization. Electronic Address is required when you want to use a facility such as Electronic Mail to find a mail address in an address book.
The electronic address book stores the addresses of organizations and the personal addresses of employees in each organization. When you send mail, you can use the electronic address book to quickly search and set mail addresses. When you register addresses in advance, you can set mail addresses without mistyping and you can set multiple addresses simultaneously.
You can use the following four electronic address books.
- Organizational address book
The organizational address book displays an address tree corresponding to the hierarchical structure of your organization. When the Groupmax system consists of multiple domains, the organizational address book is the address book for the local domain.
- Organizational address group
The organizational address group merges the address books of all the organizations on the system into one group for management. This address book is registered to the system in advance.
- Personal address book
The personal address book stores the mail addresses to which you send mail frequently.
- External address book
The external address book displays the information registered on an LDAP-compliant directory server. In the Groupmax system, the architectural unit of the directory server is the domain.
Note: |
Directory Client provides the external address book. Install Directory Client before you use the external address book. |
 |
How can I quickly use the external address book?
|
When you use the external address book, you can view multiple directory servers in one address book and you can set mail addresses in each branch of the enterprise. |
