On June 3, 2010, CA Technologies support released the "CA20100603-01: Security Notice for CA ARCserve Backup (Display new window)" concerning a vulnerability in CA ARCserve Backup r12.5, CA ARCserve Backup r12, and BrightStor ARCserve Backup r11.5. Malicious remote users can exploit this vulnerability to acquire potentially sensitive information.

The following vulnerability was found in CA ARCserve Backup r12.5, CA ARCserve Backup r12, and BrightStor ARCserve Backup r11.5:

  • Malicious remote users can acquire potentially sensitive information from servers where CA ARCserve Backup products or CA ARCserve Backup Client Agent for Windows are installed.
