A code execution vulnerability was found in Shared Trace Service of JP1/Cm2/Network Node Manager (abbreviated hereafter to NNM). Malicious remote users can exploit this vulnerability and execute arbitrary codes.

Vulnerability description

An arbitrary code execution vulnerability was found in Shared Trace Service (which is installed together with NNM).

After Shared Trace Service is installed, by default the service does not start automatically. However, the problem occurs if the service has been set to start automatically.

Workarounds

Please carry out the following workaround until the fixed modules are available:

  • Stop Shared Trace Service of NNM(*1).

Stopping Shared Trace Service has no impact on the functionality of the monitoring function of NNM.
