About the Product
The Secure Mobile Driver V3.0.3 provides the interface between an application program and the Mobile Security Card.
It is signed by Microsoft for Windows XP 32/64-bit, Windows Server2003 32/64 bit and Windows 7 32/64-bit operation systems.
The driver is based on the PC/SC Standard and on the Microsoft specification for PC/SC Plug & Play card readers.
It enables smart card applications to access the Mobile Security Card over PC/SC.
- Windows XP/Server 2003/7 x86/x64 operation system
- MicroSD-to-SD, microSD-to-miniSD or microSD-to-USB adapter depending on slots available in the host device.
- Run the setup program Secure Mobile Driver 3.0.3 (32 bit).msi on the x86 platform.
- Run the setup program Secure Mobile Driver 3.0.3 (64 bit).msi on the x64 platform.
A reboot of the system is not required.
- From the Start Menu, select Control Panel.
- Click the Add or Remove Programs icon (Windows XP/Server) or click "Programs and Features" in the icon view
or "Unistall a program" under "Programs" using Category view in Windows 7.
- Select the "Secure Mobile Driver" and click "Add/Remove" (Windows XP/Server) or Uninstall (Windows 7).
Under certain conditions, a dialog shows up:
'The setup must update files or services that
cannot be updated while system is running...'
Select the button OK.
A reboot of the system is not required.
- Cards that return an ATR with TA1 = 0xB7 are not supported on the Windows XP/Server 2003 operating system.
Note: Current MSCs issued by G&D SFS will not return such an ATR.
- If the Secure Mobile Driver system service is manually stopped and restarted, the MSC must be removed and inserted again to initialize the service.
- The Secure Mobile Driver creates and uses a temporary file to communicate with the MSC. Don't change the access condition of that file to READ-ONLY.
- A file with the same name as the temporary file that is used to communicate with the MSC will be overwritten by the Secure Mobile Driver.
