Wins the Asia Go Championship

starting of main content
The 6th Asia Amateur Go Championship, sponsored by the Korea Amateur Baduk Association, was held in Seoul Oct. 25 through 29, 2004.
Ten nations participated and fought eight rounds (three players each nation).
I, together with Mr. Hiraoka Satoshi and Mr. Taga Bungo, took part. These days Korean Go level is ever the highest, amateur as well as professional. This time, also, the Korean team with young strong players was expected to win. But contrary to our expectation, Japan defeated Korea in the final round by 3-0.
As for the individual prize, I had the luck of receiving the gold medal according to the unique rule of this tournament (the older, the higher).
