Web Services Reliability (WS-Reliability) is a SOAP-based protocol for exchanging SOAP messages with guaranteed delivery, no duplicates, and guaranteed message ordering. WS-Reliability is defined as SOAP header extensions, and is independent of the underlying protocol. This specification contains a binding to HTTP.

WS-Reliability has been proposed as the standard specification for open and highly reliable messaging in the provision of web services. In providing the sample software, we hope to accelerate the spread of a reliable data transmission environment for the web services market and enable customers to develop systems for reliable web services more quickly.
