Web Linkage for Version 3

Groupmax Version 3 has strengthened the following facilities for improving the application use in the Web environment.

E-mail [Top of this page]

Clickable URLs

To display a homepage, simply click the URL in the text. There is no need to copy the URL from the text to the browser.
This facility is for URLs that start with "http://".
Improving the use of e-mail (bulletin board)
- You can specify a substitute to receive your mail when you are absent.
- You can display detailed information about a sender (author) in the window where the contents of received mail (news item) are displayed.
- You can directly move to the next or to the previous mail message (news item) from the window where the contents of mail (news item) are displayed. This can be done by just clicking the button so that there is no need to go back to the list (single pane with no split window).
- When specifying an already specified recipient in the Create Mail window, the extra recipient address will automatically be suppressed.
- You can use the mail of the Web linkage facility to create a bulletin board. In previous versions, you had to request the system administrator or use a client to create a bulletin board.
- All of the unread and read news items are counted in the number of news items display of the bulletin board.
- The size of each file that is attached to the mail (news item) will be displayed.
  You can confirm the file size before opening and saving the file.
- The name (nickname) of the recipient is displayed in the recipient list of the Received Mail window.
  You can reference whether the recipient has recieved the mail with the specification of TO, CC, or BCC.

Document Manager [Top of this page]

You can use the Groupmax Document Manager without going through the GroupInfoshare/Gateway.

Formerly, when users were not authenticated, the need the Groupmax optional products that supplied the gateway facility to browse shared documents in multiple servers without user authentication (e.g. when using the Groupmax Document Manager facility).
Groupmax Version 3 enables you to use Document Manager by using the Groupmax Web linkage facility supplied in the server set product.

[Note]
The format of the information file used in GroupInfoshare/Gateway cannot be used. You must change it to the Groupmax Web linkage format.

Form [Top of this page]

Strengthened the linkage facility and Form that uses Java Applets (for Windows NT server only).

When using this facility, you will need a server option product, Groupmax Form - Extention Version 3 for World Wide Web.

Electronic form

The work-items of the workflow can be accepted or rejected by batch processing.
(Already supported in Groupmax Form Client)
Many of workflow processes can be easily done from the Web browser.
Entering forms and displaying processes of multiple windows can be done from the Web browser.
The Web linkage form facility can be used to spread out your business.
Processing multiple detail items is possible.
(Not supported in Groupmax Form Client)
Formerly, only one detail item (table format) could be created for a form. Now you can create multiple detail items and can create them simpler.

* Multiple detail items can be created only when displaying data obtained from a database. You cannot register data for multiple detail items to workflows or to form-based documents.
The user information can be extracted to the form directly.
The user information (Japanese name and the post name) that was registered to Groupmax Address server can be set in a form. There is no need to create a database to store the user information, so development and maintenance are simplified.
You can use an existing form-based document to enter new work-items (already supported in Groupmax Form Client).
You can enter new work-items without entering data each time by displaying and entering an existing form-based document.
Items in the form-based document are improved.
You can register multiple rows of data for the detail items.
You can register the seal appearance in the seal item (already supported in Groupmax Form Client).
Others
The start time is faster and the access performance to the database has improved.

Scheduler [Top of this page]

Target selection from a group is available.
You can select or register the destination and the title.
You can copy an existing schedule.
You can change the existing schedule to another date.

Workflow [Top of this page]

You can specify a substitute for when you are absent.
You can transfer the work-items in the receiving tray of the absentees to another user.
You can create a specialized menu window by customizing the tree view.
You can create a list for each business process by customizing the receiving tray and the send log in the business process unit.
