be installed on all servers.
Virus protection on client PCs
Groupmax Server - Scan will protect your system by detecting virus-infected e-mail and bulletin boards.
You also need to take countermeasures against virus infection in areas not covered by Scan on a server or
when importing items other than e-mail and bulletin boards, such as:
when e-mail and bulletin boards are encrypted
when an attached file is in the special format (for example, when reading another file)
when no actual data is provided in an attached file
So, you need to take countermeasures against viruses on client PCs as usual.
What to do if a virus is reported in a client PC
Groupmax Server - Scan checks for viruses in files attached to e-mail and prevents virus infections
via mail, but on a client PC you must take countermeasures against infections.
If Groupmax Server - Scan reports a virus, the actual virus is probably hiding in a PC used as a client.
So, we recommend that you use virus protection software to check and remove viruses on PCs.
Target viruses
Which viruses are detected depends on the virus checking engine you purchase in addition to Groupmax Server - Scan.
The engine can target viruses only on Windows PCs and cannot detect viruses on other types of clients such as Macintosh machines.
To check virus infections on Macintosh clients, you need to install virus protection software designed for that system.
