Groupmax Version 5 supports the knowledge management server option Groupmax Taskcoordinate Version 5 as an optional product for the execution environment. This product provides the expertise-sharing functions and task managing functions.
Companies have the growing desire to share and transfer more information electronically. The widespread use of groupware has facilitated this, and increasingly information can now be transferred and shared in electronic ways. The need for higher-level business support functions is emerging based on the electronic information sharing and exchange that the groupware has achieved.
Expertise-sharing functions allow businesses to accumulate and reutilize the business know-how of individuals. The expertise-sharing functions also provide the linkage facility to each function of Groupmax groupware for performing business activities.

1. Functional overview

Knowledge and expertise derived from experience are essential to quickly resolve a problem or to reliably handle new work-items. However, individuals must gain experience in on-the-job training by watching and imitating what their senior engineers do, referring to previous proposals, as well as asking experienced persons.
Formal business guidelines may be created to smoothly achieve a business goal. In an actual business, however, you may encounter many questions that can take a considerable amount of time to answer.

Business has become increasingly accelerated so you may not have enough time to gain experience or to develop detailed formal guidelines.

With Taskcoordinate, you can place the know-how of experienced persons into templates and add necessary information derived from on-going businesses on the spot so that you can develop useful business guidelines or handbooks. In turn, you can use them to improve efficiency.
