At the end of 1995, as part of their ninth management plan, the Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Ltd. decided to start using e-mail as a new business tool for quickly exchanging information.
Feb. 1995: Started trial run (limited to internal use)

Jun. 1995: Started providing the e-mail service to executives and upper management, and started linking the e-mail system to the Internet.
Jul. 1995: Linked the e-mail system to the executive information system, and distributed the system to all employees.
