Vulnerability in CA ARCserve Backup

On March 20, 2012, CA Technologies support released "CA20120320-01: Security Notice for CA ARCserve Backup (Display new window)" concerning a vulnerability in CA ARCserve Backup.
An attack by a malicious remote user can exploit this vulnerability to deactivate network services.

The following vulnerability was found in CA ARCserve Backup r16 for Windows, CA ARCserve Backup r15 for Windows, CA ARCserve Backup r12.5 for Windows and CA ARCserve Backup r12 for Windows.

  • An attack by a malicious remote user can exploit this vulnerability to deactivate network services on servers on which CA ARCserve Backup is installed.
