When Hitachi Web Server receives a request that uses an invalid client certificate, an invalid environment parameter might be set, and a malicious user can impersonate another user. Please note that this vulnerability corresponds to CVE-2008-0555.

Vulnerability description

When Hitachi Web Server receives a request that uses an SSL client certificate with an incorrect distinguished name, Hitachi Web Server might set an invalid value for the SSL_CLIENT_*** environment parameter.
When access control is performed using the Common Name (CN) of the client certificate, a malicious user can impersonate another user.

Remote users can exploit this vulnerability to cause these problems. Affected products and versions are listed below. Please upgrade to the fixed version.
This problem can occur if your system uses the Hitachi Web Server function for authenticating SSL clients.
