Management of server operations involves two aspects: trouble shooting symptoms to prevent accidental problems escalating and efficiently resolving any existing problems, and, secondly, capacity planning achieved through long-term monitoring. JP1 server operation management offers enhanced alarm monitoring and reporting functions to detect trouble symptoms and supports root cause analysis of the trouble based on the collected utilization information. JP1 also enables users to identify potential bottlenecks using this utilization information collected from the long-term monitoring reports, helping to develop accurate capacity plans for future IT systems.
JP1 can not only monitor the activity of servers and processes, but also the status of specific services and applications as well as items provided by other monitoring and management tools.
As standard JP1 provides various monitor templates to allow the user to smoothly launch operations immediately after installation. These templates can be customized later for monitoring more specific items.
JP1 visually displays the operational status of servers and agents on all systems as individual folders, such as a department or server, allowing the user to intuitively understand the operational status of all systems from the summary monitoring view.

System information summary
Alarm monitoring automatically sends an e-mail to the system administrator or executes external commands allowing problems to be corrected before they seriously impact business operations, helping to prevent catastrophic failures.
JP1 provides the capabilities to monitor operations of all systems, including both physical servers and virtual machines. JP1 not only detects problem symptoms in virtual environments but also provides information regarding the virtual environments effective use of resources on physical servers.
Using the displayed records and explanations of the fields, the monitoring configuration can be easily set up and reports can be easily generated.

Quick guide
Items to be monitored can be located by utilizing relevant keywords like "CPU", "Memory", or "TCP", reducing the need for detailed technical knowledge. In addition, items to be reported or utilized for alarm generation can be selected from the search results displayed.
By allowing multiple bookmarked reports to be displayed in parallel, cross correlations of errors can easily be seen, allowing the user to trace the root cause of a problem.

Multiple report display
System performance data can be logged over various time scales to provide the basis for accurate capacity planning. JP1 provides alternative algorithms for the data analysis leading to increased confidence in predicted future capacity requirements and eliminating guesswork. Relative system performance can also be assessed by comparison with historical baseline data.
