JP1/SD is a group of products that enable software distribution and client management to be performed over a network.
JP1/SD consists of the following components.

JP1/Software Distribution (SD)
Product Overview
JP1/SD Manager This product can be used for IT asset information management, client monitoring, software distribution, and client remote operation in a wide variety of environments from a small configuration to a large distributed one. All clients in the system can be managed in an integrated manner via a network.
JP1/SD SubManager This product is placed between the manager and clients to relay software distribution. In a large system, placing a relay server at each site is of help to distribute manager loads and reduce the amount of data transferred between sites.
JP1/SD Client

[For Windows]
This product is a client that serves JP1/Software Distribution Manager. The main functions of JP1/Software Distribution Client include the following:

  • Acquire inventory information including hardware and software information
  • Acquire information on the anti-virus software
  • Detect patches that have been applied and patches that have not been applied
  • Acquire information on whether software is active or inactive
  • Suppress activation of specified software
  • Obtaining the file operation history (file operation logs)
  • Install software automatically (push/pull)
  • Distribute user programs and data
  • Collect files
  • Remotely control clients
  • The relay functionality for reducing the load between Manager and Client

[For UNIX]
This product is a client that serves JP1/Software Distribution Manager. The main client functions include the following:

  • Automatically install software as instructed by the manager (push)
  • Automatically install software as instructed by a client (pull)
JP1/SD ADK This product automatically installs and sets up JP1/Software Distribution Client for Windows in order to reduce the system administrators' workload. It is possible to create an installation set for each purpose of the client machine and/or for each working environment.
