SiGe BiCMOS Foundry Service

High-speed SiGe BiCMOS technologies developed for mainframe processors are enhanced to our foundry technologies.

Hitachi provides various services from IC designs to mass productions with a support of the process design kit, a mask making, and a shuttle trial production.

Process Technology

  • We provide both 0.25-µm and 0.18-µm node SiGe BiCMOS technologies using a 8-inch wafer.
  • SiGe BiCMOS technologies include high-performance SiGe hetero-junction bipolar transistors with a wide range of fT and breakdown voltage, logic/analog CMOS FETs, and various passive devices such as MIM capacitors, varactors, and inductors.
  • Process customizations are also available based on our standard technology.

Business Flow

Under non-disclosure agreements (NDA), we provide various services including specification meeting, design kit selection, mask making from GDS data, shuttle production, and mass production.

Shuttle Service

Our shuttle trial fabrication service in which a mask area is shared with several customers is a suitable for making a sample IC and confirming a new circuit with a low-cost.

Foundry Service

We provide total services covering from a wafer production, IC design, packaging, and testing.

A 10-Gbps optical transmission amplifier IC is an example using our foundry technology.
